Welcome to Ivey, incoming HBAs!!

On behalf of the Orientation Week Leaders (OWLs), congratulations on your acceptance to Ivey! We’re beyond excited to welcome you to what will be an unforgettable O-Week and a year filled with opportunities, growth, and lifelong memories.

Our 150-person OWL team can’t wait to meet all 780 of you and help make your transition into the Ivey family as smooth as possible. Not long ago, we were in your shoes—excited, nervous, and maybe even experiencing a bit of imposter syndrome. But know this: everyone finds their place here. We’ll be with you every step of the way—academically, socially, and personally. Our support doesn’t end after O-Week; we’re here for you throughout your HBA journey, committed to making your experience even better than ours.

At Ivey, you’ll meet some of the most incredible people—friends, mentors, professors, and industry leaders. You’ll have access to amazing speakers, challenging classes, and experiences that will push you to grow. Before classes begin, take a moment to think about what you want to achieve this year—not just professionally, but personally too. Say yes to opportunities, whether that’s running for section president, joining a club, or even applying to be an OWL yourself. At the same time, remember to look after your well-being—physically, mentally, and emotionally. If you ever need help, reach out to an OWL or use Ivey’s many resources. You’re never alone here.

Over the past five months, our team has been working hard to create an O-Week full of exciting events and meaningful experiences. You’ll bond with your section, connect with faculty, and get to know the Ivey community in a fun, supportive, and safe environment. From section socials to 8 a.m. classes, to 48-hour LT bonding sessions—you’ll quickly learn what makes this place special.
