HBAA Portfolios
The HBAA’s work is organized in portfolios, led by the President and each Vice President. We organize the work we do accordingly.
President's Portfolio
The HBAA President is the chief executive and official spokesperson of the HBAA. Some duties of the President’s portfolio include overseeing the daily operations of the HBAA, acting as a liaison between the HBAA and Ivey Administration, and coordinating the work of all other portfolios.
The President’s portfolio has nine (9) roles:

Communications Portfolio
The Communications portfolio manages all internal and external communication of the HBAA. Some specific responsibilities include the creation and distribution of newsletters, yearbooks and, HBAA TV episodes, along with managing social media and the HBAA website.
The Communications portfolio has seven (7) roles:

Finance Portfolio
The finance portfolio oversees all HBAA and club spending. The portfolio creates the annual budget, manages club financing, and handles student requisitions.
The Finance portfolio has four (4) roles:
- Sponsorship Coordinators (2)
- Merchandise/Payment Coordinators (2)
- Club Account Coordinators (4)
- Bookkeepers (2)
University Affairs Portfolio
The VP University Affairs is responsible for overseeing the connections between Ivey and Western, alongside the broader London community. The portfolio encompasses three sub-portfolios, specifically: myHBA (mental health and wellness at Ivey), Ivey Connects (non-profit and social impact), and Ivey Councillors (representing Ivey at Western’s University Students’ Council). The VP University Affairs works with each sub-portfolio and Faculty to create a unified, impactful student experience.
The University Affairs portfolio has four (4) roles:

Ivey HBA Candidate 2026Student Events Portfolio
The Student Events portfolio organizes all social and athletic events and activities of the HBA program, including banquets, formals, trips, and the HBA1 Ivey Cup. Working with the Head OWL, the VP Student Events is also responsible for planning O-Week. The VP of student events also oversees the HBA1 VP Events representatives for each section.
The Student Events portfolio has eight (8) roles:

Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Portfolio
Newly instated in 2022, the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion portfolio leads advocacy, education, and community building initiatives at Ivey. The VP EDI will be responsible for creating an inclusive environment for all students, advocating for marginalized communities at Ivey, and creating new events that promote and celebrate equity within the student body.
The EDI portfolio has eight (8) roles:

Ivey HBA Candidate 2026Academic Portfolio
The Academic portfolio acts as a liaison between the HBAA, Faculty, and Administration on all academic and extracurricular activities. The portfolio coordinates all academic and professionally oriented extracurricular activities. Sub-portfolios within the academic portfolio are clubs & conferences, mentorship, exchange, dual degrees, and tutoring.
